Operating a central campus in Boca Raton, in addition to five satellite campuses throughout South Florida, Florida Atlantic University is a core member of the State University System of Florida. Having traditionally focused on research, FAU recently made efforts to transform into a more comprehensive university. These efforts included expanding the school’s online programs and its college of business, which now holds national accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This distinction extends to FAU’s online BBA program. This program requires each student to complete a total of 120 credits to graduate. The program’s curriculum offers three concentrations: management, marketing, or accounting. Aside from coursework in their concentration, each student also completes courses in money and banking, business law, and financial and marketing management. The online BBA program’s curriculum does not include any in-person, capstone, or thesis requirements. Online coursework is delivered asynchronously. This is a degree-completion program. As such, the curriculum only includes the third and fourth years of a traditional bachelor’s in business administration degree online. All applicants must have already completed the first two years of a business degree, which consists of approximately 60 credits and nine pre-business foundation courses (including accounting and economics). Students can complete these courses at FAU or elsewhere. All applicants must have earned a minimum GPA of 2.5 in the aforementioned nine pre-business foundation courses. This online BBA program does not require applicants to submit their SAT or ACT scores. Matriculated students can begin taking coursework at the start of any semester.
