One of the largest universities in the nation in terms of its undergraduate enrollment, Arizona State University is also one of the nation’s leaders in online programming, in both quality and quantity. A particularly popular online program is ASU’s bachelor’s of arts degree in business, which includes a concentration in business administration. ASU’s business program prepares its students for future leadership positions in business, and distance learners must complete a total of 120 credits to earn their degrees. Graduates of the program go on to work as executives and managers in a variety of fields, including construction, investments, and security. The program’s curriculum includes studies in general management areas, such as business operations and planning, leading organizations, and organization and management leadership. Students can complete all 120 credits without ever having to set foot on campus in Tempe. ASU is also exceptionally transfer friendly, allowing students to apply up to 90 approved credits toward their online business administration degree, as long as they earned a GPA of at least 3.0. The program includes a capstone experience and delivers coursework asynchronously. Students who begin their degree at ASU finish in the standard four years, although program completion times vary for transfer students based on the number of credits they have already completed. ASU’s admissions requirements are relatively stringent. All applicants must meet one of four criteria: a minimum 3.0 unweighted GPA, a top 25% high school class ranking, a 24 on the ACT (22 for Arizona residents), or a combined math and verbal SAT score of 1180 (1120 for Arizona residents). ASU charges all students in the business administration program the same per-credit tuition, regardless of where they live.
