With a student body of more than 40,000 individuals, California State University - Fullerton is the most popular school in the California State University System. Diversity in its student body is important to Cal State Fullerton, and the school holds designation as a Hispanic-serving institution and eligibility for designation as an Asian American Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institution (AANAPASI). Fullerton achieves much of this diversity by expanding beyond its Orange County campus through its distance learning programs. In addition to its large, diverse student body, Fullerton is perhaps best known for its competitive NCAA baseball teams, who have won four national titles. One of the school’s strongest online offerings is its bachelor’s of arts degree in business administration. As a degree-completion program, this track is particularly well-suited for working professionals, community college/transfer students, and students seeking a second bachelor’s degree. As such, the program aims for maximum flexibility, utilizing asynchronous learning and never requiring students to visit campus. Distance learners must complete a total of 57 credits at Fullerton, which usually takes about three years. In order to earn admission into the BABA program, applicants must have completed 63 college credits with a GPA of at least 2.0. Once accepted, students in the program pursue a broad professional business concentration, which includes studies in finance, accounting, marketing, management, and other standard business-related areas. Fullerton offers the program through its Mihaylo College of Business, which is the largest West Coast business school to hold national accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. All students pay the same per-credit tuition, regardless of their state of residence.
