As the third-oldest member of the California State University System, San Diego State University is one of the most established schools in Southern California. In addition to producing a high number of Fulbright Scholars, SDSU also offers an extensive array of online programs. One such offering is its bachelor’s of science degree in business administration. This degree-completion program requires students to earn between 49 and 55 credits at SDSU to complete their online business administration degree. Applicants must be transfer students who have already completed at least 60 college credits while earning a minimum GPA of 2.9. The program delivers coursework asynchronously, and the curriculum does not include any in-person requirements. Full-time students take four courses per term and graduate in two years. There are two, eight-week course periods each term. Classes include ethical decision making in business, management and organizational behavior, and consumer and buyer behavior. The curriculum does not include a capstone or thesis requirement or any concentrations; instead, SDSU opts for a broad approach, awarding a degree in general business. Throughout their time at SDSU, distance learners in this program can access the school’s career services department, which helps students find jobs upon graduation. Graduates can pursue accounting, managerial, and human resources work. Despite SDSU’s membership in the California State University System, all students enrolled in this bachelor’s of business administration program pay the same per-credit tuition rate. SDSU’s business administration program holds national accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
